On Her Personal Style

“My style is curated and eclectic. It depends on the day, my mood, where I am, and the weather. I like to describe it as classic with zest. Loose-fitting clothes and layering are my end game. I love wearing vintage blouses and tees paired with jeans or a vintage blazer. And loose-fitting dresses that I can pair with oversized sweaters and little ankle boots. Every once in a while, I get very tailored with a suiting vibe. Regardless of the season, I like functional clothes. I dress as a professional, going for looks that I can be comfortable in, work in, and move around in.”

Tips For Editing Your Closet

“My closets on both coasts are a combination of my personal clothes and items that have been curated and saved for styling. So normally when it comes time to review what we're ready to let go of, it’s very simple: pieces we've been saving and saving, waiting for a rainy day that never comes.
Sometimes we hold on to things that are nothing more than thoughts, memories, or feelings and are doing nothing. If you've got a closet with 20 white button-down blouses, pick your top five.
Every season, aim to do a cleanup. Some things to ask yourself are: have I worn this item in the last year? Am I ever going to really wear this item? And then, the big question is, why am I holding on to this item?
Certain pieces of your wardrobe will always wear out. By paring down and having less, you’ll make it easier to combine pieces and curate things in a more edited way.”

All Things Vintage

“There’s quite a sturdy selection of pieces from the 60s and 80s. It's not uncommon that with being a stylist and the amount of years I've been doing this, not to mention my love for vintage, I often have friends, clients, or friends of friends come to me and say ‘I've got X, Y, and Z that I need to unload. Can you help me?’ Through this, I've curated a lot of special pieces.
This particular curation is vintage and in very, very good condition. The original labels are on the garments, all of the pieces are intact, and you can tell that we've taken extremely good care of them, which is one of the most important things when you are a vintage advocate.”

Her Most Memorable Styling Moments

“I have a really special connection to all of the looks I put together, so it’s so hard to choose a most memorable moment. But the three that come to mind are Penelope Cruz wearing Atelier Versace to The Academy Awards in 2009, Greta Gerwig wearing custom Rodarte to The Academy Awards in 2018, and Priyanka Chopra wearing a custom Ralph Lauren Trench dress to The Met Gala in 2017.”
