These earrings feature a generously sized knot motif, typical of the style of Dior jewelry from this period, in a crafted couture style.

Founded in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century, the house of Grossé established itself as one of the largest European manufacturers of couture jewelry. After World War I, the house innovated with the use of modern materials and quickly won over the major Parisian fashion houses.

From the 1950s, Grossé was distributed in Christian Dior boutiques, before signing an exclusive contract in 1955 for the manufacture of Dior couture jewelry — an iconic collaboration that would leave a lasting mark on the history of fashion jewelry.
